Dr. Ashleigh Muse
Dr. Ashleigh Muse received her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma for psychology in 1993. From there she went on and took a few graduate classes in counseling psychology and took a personal training certification program. Still not sure of what she wanted to do; Ashleigh looked into chiropractic school at Parker in Dallas at the suggestion of her father. With just one visit to the campus and a talk to an enrollment counselor, she knew this was where she needed to be. During school she worked in the activity center helping in the intramural sports program, as well as traveling with the basketball team. She also engrossed herself in personal studies of proper nutrition, reflexology, and other healing arts. In May of, 1997, Ashleigh graduated #5 in her class with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. Not to end the excitement there, the following weekend she was married to Keith Muse, also a chiropractor. They moved back to Oklahoma City where, Dr. Muse did some fill in work until a permanent position was found. While working at Crowe Chiropractic Clinic, Ashleigh developed a rehabilitation program she implemented for patients. Continuing on with her desire for the healing arts, Dr. Muse began taking yoga classes and realized the benefits her patients would receive from it. She interviewed a couple of yoga instructors, and set up a yoga studio in the upstairs loft at Crowe’s.

In June of 1998, Ashleigh left her associate practice to set up her own. Dr. Muse used various techniques there to improve her patient’s quality of life that a lot of other chiropractors weren’t offering. Some of these techniques included exercise, rehab, and reflexology. In the mean time Ashleigh was attending Yoga Teacher Training, so she could teach her own classes. Within two years of beginning her own practice, Dr. Muse out grew her space and moved to 7923 N. May Avenue, where the Wellness Center is now located. With business doing well, Dr. Muse decided to expand her office to the suite next door. She used this additional space for more patient rooms and an open area for her own yoga studio. Ashleigh has assisted Valerie Love, OTRYT, in Anatomy of Movement workshops at Kripalu in Lenno MA, as well as taught her own workshops, which include arthritis, yoga, and hip and shoulder opening. Next on her long list of accomplishments Dr. Ashleigh started an organic, produce, co-op and health food store. This made it convenient for her patients to obtain chiropractic treatment, vitamins, organic foods, and yoga all in one place. Ashleigh’s most recent additions to her clinic include massage therapy and acupuncture, and she doesn’t plan on stopping there.
